Five fun-filled days learning to code & create in Minecraft with AI & Python
Special online summer camps for the children of Dynatrace employees will take place in July and August 2021.
During these live online camps, participants will experience their first programming attempts with the Minecraft Education Edition and build valuable STEM skills. With the “Code & Create” challenges, they playfully make their first programming experiences, learn about the background of artificial intelligence, and write their first lines of code with the programming language Python, with which they control the characters in Minecraft.

In this camp, your children will immerse themselves in one of the best-selling games in the world and learn about the vastness of computer science. This is how your child discovers how exciting programming can be!
In playful challenges in the world of the Minecraft Education Edition, the children will playfully get first experiences in coding, learn how an artificial intelligence works and take the first steps of programming in Python.
- Day 1-2: Coding basics
Simple coding challenges, controlling agents with code commands, getting to know syntax, variables, etc. - Day 3-4: Coding experts
Advanced, fun & exciting coding challenges: Chicken-Rain, Golden Staircase, etc., where you learn about methods, loops, functions, etc. - Day 5: Mastery
Develop your own ideas with artificial intelligence and apply your newly acquired knowledge in a self-built Minecraft world.
In this online camp you will learn:
- Programming basics with Microsoft Makecode
- Computer concepts (commands, loops, conditions, variables)
- Solve exciting AI coding challenges with the Minecraft Agent and the Minecraft Builder
- You take your first steps in coding with Python
